San Sebastián Festival, 2014

“La isla mínima” and “Autómata”, two films mixed at Best Digital studios, are due to compete in the Official Selection at the 62nd Edition of the San Sebastian Festival 2014, which will take place from 19th to 27th September.

DOUBLE NOMINATION FOR THE ATRAE AWARDS

We are pleased to announce that two works dubbed at Best Digital -the film “Don Jon” and the TV series “The Bible”- have been nominated for the Second Edition of the Association of Audiovisual Translators and Adapters of Spain in two categories:

- Best Translation and Adaptation of a feature film released in theaters : Álvaro Méndez and Pablo Adán for “Don Jon” .
- Best Translation and Adaptation of a TV series: Carolina Sastre, Marisa Marco and Álvaro Méndez for “The Bible.”

OCHO APELLIDOS VASCOS, A SUDDEN HIT

‘Ocho apellidos vascos’, the latest film by Emilio Martínez-Lázaro, has been mixed at Best Digital by Nacho Royo-Villanova. Starring Dani Rovira, Carmen Machi, Clara Lago, and Karra Elejalde, it is the most recent hit in Spanish cinema, grossing nearly three million euros in its first week, which is something that didn’t happen since the release in September of ‘Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi’. In its second week it’s gathered 8.9 million euros and gained more than 1.4 million viewers.

ANOTHER GOYA AWARD FOR BEST SOUND

The film “Las brujas de Zugarramurdi” (Witchin’ & Bitchin’), mixed in Dolby Atmos at Best Digital studios has won 8 awards, of which we are proud to highlight the Goya for Best Sound for Nicolás de Poulpiquet and Charly Schmukler, who thanked the technical support offered by Dolby and all the team at Best Digital studios in their acceptance speech on the stage.
